How to Use

Buparvaquone is a hydroxynaphthoquinone compound structurally related to parvaquone. It acts specifically against the intra-erythrocytic and lymphoid schizont stages of Theileria species (T. annulata and T. parva). The drug interferes with the protozoan's electron transport chain in its mitochondria, effectively blocking ATP production. This disruption halts the parasitic replication cycle and rapidly leads to the death of the protozoa, resolving the clinical signs of Theileriosis in the host animal.
