Control of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD).
Treatment of primary Mycoplasmosis (M. gallisepticum).
Management of Necrotic Enteritis (caused by C. perfringens).
Therapy for secondary bacterial infections.
Effective against susceptible Gram-positive organisms.
Tylosin, a macrolide antibiotic, is primarily bacteriostatic and selectively inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. It achieves this by binding reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit, which halts the translocation step and prevents the formation of polypeptide chains. This mechanism of action is crucial for its high efficacy against Mycoplasma species, which lack a cell wall, and various Gram-positive pathogens. This action ensures rapid control of infections, particularly those affecting the respiratory system.
Highly specific and potent activity against Mycoplasma species.
High Tylosin concentration (200 mg/g) allows low inclusion rates.
Rapid absorption ensures effective concentration at target tissues.
Excellent water solubility for easy, uniform flock medication.
Reduces morbidity and mortality associated with CRD.
