Tolfenamic acid. 40 mg
Excipients. q.s.

Indications

Treatment of pain and fever associated with Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD).
Management of acute inflammatory conditions, including severe mastitis.
Relief of pain and lameness related to musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
Used as an adjunct therapy for acute metritis and other reproductive inflammation.
Effective reduction of pain and swelling associated with foot rot.

Mechanism of Action

Tolfenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that primarily acts by inhibiting the enzyme Cyclooxygenase (COX). By blocking this enzyme, it prevents the synthesis and release of prostaglandins, which are powerful chemical mediators responsible for triggering pain, fever (pyrexia), and inflammation at the site of injury or infection. Furthermore, Tolfenamic acid can also inhibit the release of other inflammatory mediators, such as thromboxanes and leukotrienes, providing a more comprehensive anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.

Benefits

Rapid onset of action for quick relief from pain and fever.
Potent anti-pyretic effect for severe fever reduction.
Broad anti-inflammatory coverage by targeting multiple mediators.
Improves animal comfort and hastens return to normal feeding/activity.
Enhances efficacy of concurrent antibiotic treatments.
