Lipid based Tacrolimus. 0.02% w/v
Alpha Tocopherol. 0.006%

Treatment of Canine Atopic Dermatitis (CAD) in localized or refractory areas.
Management of severe, localized, or refractory allergic skin diseases (e.g., footpads, perianal).
Used in fistulae and other localized immune-mediated conditions.
Recommended for areas where prolonged steroid use is undesirable.
Treatment of localized lesions where inflammation and pruritus are severe.

The action is focused on immune suppression at the skin level. Tacrolimus is a calcineurin inhibitor that blocks the activation of T-lymphocytes, a key cell in inflammatory and allergic responses. It binds to the intracellular protein FKBP12, and this complex then inhibits calcineurin. By inhibiting calcineurin, the transcription of inflammatory cytokine genes (like IL-2) is prevented, effectively suppressing the localized immune reaction that drives chronic pruritus and inflammation. Alpha Tocopherol scavenges harmful free radicals, protecting skin cell integrity.
