Safe Deworming. Swift Results.
Antiparasiticide
Poultry & Swine
WS Powder

Composition

Each g contains:
Piperazine Citrate. 1000 mg

Indications

Effective treatment for roundworm infestations (Ascaridiasis).
Control of large roundworm (Ascaridia galli) in poultry.
Used for general deworming of flocks and herds.
Suitable for young and growing animals.
Management of nodular worm in swine.

Mechanism of Action

Piperazine works primarily by acting as a GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) agonist on the nervous system of susceptible parasites, particularly Ascarids. By hyperpolarizing the nerve cell membrane of the worms, it causes a potent flaccid paralysis. The paralyzed worms lose their ability to maintain their position within the host's intestine against peristalsis and are simply expelled alive through the feces. This action is specific, effective, and rapidly eliminates the parasitic load without significant residual toxicity.

Benefits

Rapid action ensures quick clearance of roundworms.
Wide margin of safety and low toxicity profile.
Effective as a mass medication through drinking water.
Non-staining and palatable for easy administration.
Gentle action avoids inflammation of the intestinal lining.
