Composition

Each Soap bar contains :
Permetrin. 1% w/w
Aloe vera 0.5% w/w

Indications

Treatment and control of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.).
Management of infestations by ticks (Rhipicephalus, Ixodes spp.).
Used for the elimination of lice on the coat and skin.
Aids in the relief of pruritus (itching) and skin irritation associated with parasites.
Routine bathing to prevent re-infestation after topical spot-on treatments.

Mechanism of Action

SOFTAS acts primarily through its ectoparasiticide, Permethrin, which is a neurotoxin. Permethrin is absorbed across the cuticle of insects and mites. It acts on the voltage-gated sodium channels in the nerve cell membranes of the parasites. By delaying the closing of these channels, it causes continuous depolarization and repetitive firing of the nerve cells, leading to hyperexcitation, paralysis, and rapid death of the parasite. Aloe Vera concurrently moisturizes the skin, alleviating the irritation caused by the parasites and the washing process itself.

Benefits

Effective elimination of most common external parasites upon contact.
Permethrin provides reliable knock-down action against fleas and ticks.
Aloe Vera soothes skin inflammation and moisturizes dry skin.
Soap format provides rich lather for thorough cleansing and application.
Cost-effective method for managing parasitic infestations in companion animals.

Usage & Recommendation

Soap Bar: Wet coat thoroughly. Create a rich lather by rubbing the bar across the coat. Massage the lather into the coat and skin, ensuring contact with the skin. Leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

Frequency: As recommended by a veterinarian, typically every 7-14 days during peak parasite season. Ensure thorough rinsing. Avoid ingestion.
