Composition

Pentosan Polysulphate Sodium. 100 mg

Excipients. Q.S

Indications

Treatment of non-infectious inflammatory joint disease, specifically osteoarthritis
Management of pain and lameness associated with degenerative joint conditions.
Aids in the recovery from traumatic joint injury.
Recommended after orthopedic surgery to support cartilage healing.
Used for early-stage joint disease prevention and treatment.

Mechanism of Action

Pentosan Polysulphate Sodium (PPS) exerts its action within the joint by multiple pathways. It possesses fibrinolytic properties, improving joint blood flow. It stimulates the production of cartilage matrix components (glycosaminoglycans/hyaluronic acid) and inhibits the action of destructive enzymes (e.g., matrix metalloproteinases) that break down cartilage. PPS also acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent, reducing cartilage damage and restoring synovial fluid quality, which is critical for joint lubrication.

Benefits

Disease-modifying action addresses the root cause of joint degeneration.
Stimulates cartilage repair and improves the quality of synovial fluid.
Reduces joint inflammation and protects against destructive enzymes.
Treatment course provides sustained relief long after the final injection.
Improves overall mobility and reduces the reliance on NSAID therapy.
