Treatment of bacterial pneumonia and shipping fever.
Management of bacterial scours and calf diphtheria.
Effective for acute metritis and mastitis infections.
Useful for foot rot caused by susceptible organisms.
Indicated for Coccidiosis and other protozoal infections.
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum, bacteriostatic antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline group. It exerts its effect by reversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria. This binding inhibits the attachment of transfer RNA (tRNA) to the messenger RNA (mRNA)-ribosome complex, thereby preventing the crucial addition of new amino acids to the growing peptide chain. This interruption effectively stops protein synthesis, leading to the inhibition of bacterial growth and multiplication.
Broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Effective antibiotic for young animals and sensitive infections.
Supports quick recovery from digestive and respiratory issues.
Convenient and precise dose in bolus form.
Aids in controlling the spread of disease within a group.
