Excipients. q.s.

Indications

Treatment of severe respiratory tract infections, including BRD (Bovine Respiratory Disease).
Management of systemic diseases like anaplasmosis, foot rot, and joint ill.
Effective against infections causing calf diphtheria and navel ill.
Control of post-parturient infections like metritis and mastitis.
Prophylactic use in high-stress conditions or during group moves.

Mechanism of Action

Oxytetracycline exerts a bacteriostatic effect by interfering with essential bacterial protein synthesis. It achieves this by reversibly binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. This binding action physically obstructs the attachment of aminoacyl transfer RNA (tRNA) to the acceptor site, effectively preventing the addition of new amino acids to the growing peptide chain. This cessation of protein production inhibits the growth and multiplication of the bacteria, allowing the animal's natural defenses to resolve the underlying infection.

Benefits

Long-acting efficacy reduces handling stress and labor costs.
Sustained therapeutic levels for up to 3 to 5 days from a single shot.
High concentration allows for a smaller injection volume per treatment.
Broad-spectrum action treats a variety of common livestock pathogens.
Reliable high-dose for comprehensive infection control.
