Oxyclozanide, a salicylanilide, acts as an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation in the parasite's mitochondria, specifically targeting adult and late-immature fluke by disrupting their energy production (ATP). Levamisole, a synthetic imidazothiazole, functions as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist. This causes continuous stimulation of the parasite's musculature, leading to spastic paralysis and expulsion of the nematodes from the gastrointestinal tract.
