NEOMEC 2%

High-Concentration Endectocide for Parasite Control
The Ultimate Shield Against Endoparasites
Antibiotics
Sheep
Injection

Composition

Each ml contains:
Ivermectin ……………………………20 mg
Excipients……………….…………….q.s.

Indications

Treatment and control of Gastrointestinal Roundworms (Nematodes).
Effective against major Lungworms.
Control of Lice, Mites (Sarcoptes, Psoroptes), and Ticks.
Prevention of Cattle Grubs (Hypoderma larvae).
Eradication of certain Screw-worms (Parasitic fly larvae).

Mechanism of Action

Ivermectin works by selectively binding to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels found exclusively in the nerve and muscle cells of susceptible parasites. This binding causes an immediate influx of chloride ions, which results in the hyperpolarization of nerve cells, blocking signal transmission. This ultimately leads to flaccid paralysis, cessation of feeding, and death of the parasite. This neurotoxicity is confined to the invertebrate system, making it safe for livestock at therapeutic doses.

Benefits

High concentration allows for smaller, more efficient dosing volumes.
Broad-spectrum action simplifies parasite control programs.
Long residual activity reduces the frequency of treatment.
Improved growth rate and feed conversion ratio (FCR).
Rapid reduction in parasitic loads, minimizing tissue damage.
