Initial management of pain associated with trauma or acute injury.
Alleviation of pain and inflammation during acute flare-ups of osteoarthritis.
Reduction of fever in hospitalized companion animals.
Used as a transition treatment before switching to oral Meloxicam tablets.

Mechanism of Action

Meloxicam is an NSAID that works by preferentially inhibiting the enzyme Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). COX-2 is upregulated at sites of injury and inflammation, mediating the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. By blocking COX-2, Meloxicam effectively reduces the production of these mediators, thereby providing powerful analgesic (pain-relieving), anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects. The injectable form ensures rapid systemic bioavailability, crucial for immediate post-operative pain management.

Benefits

Rapid onset of action for immediate pain control, especially post-operative.
COX-2 selectivity aims to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
Provides reliable 24 -hour coverage with a single daily injection.
Highly concentrated formula suitable for use in the clinical environment.
Reduces discomfort, promoting quicker recovery and mobility.
