NEOMEC LA

Long-Acting, High-Potency Endectocide for Extended Protection
High Potency. Low Frequency
Endectocide
Livestock
Injection

Composition

Each ml contains:
Ivermectin. 31.5 mg (3.15%)
Excipients. q.s.

Indications

Extended control of major Gastrointestinal Roundworms (Nematodes).
Long-term protection against Lungworms.
Effective management of severe infestations of Lice, Mites, and Ticks.
Prophylaxis and treatment of Cattle Grubs (Hypoderma larvae).
Extended prophylactic use in high-risk grazing environments.

Mechanism of Action

The long-acting formula establishes a drug depot at the injection site, ensuring the slow, continuous release of Ivermectin over an extended period. Ivermectin targets glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells. By binding to these channels, it increases chloride permeability, causing hyperpolarization and blocking signal transmission. This results in the flaccid paralysis and death of the parasites. This sustained therapeutic level offers prolonged control, preventing reinfestation and managing resistant parasite populations effectively.

Benefits

High concentration allows for smaller, more efficient dosing volumes.
Broad-spectrum action simplifies parasite control programs.
Long residual activity reduces the frequency of treatment.
Improved growth rate and feed conversion ratio (FCR).
Rapid reduction in parasitic loads, minimizing tissue damage.

Usage & Recommendation
