INTALYTE

Potent Uterotonic Agent (Ergot Alkaloid)
Balanced Electrolytes, Immediate Energy.
Antibiotics
Sheep
Infusion

Composition

Each 100 ml contains
Dextrose (anhydrous) 209 gm
Sodium Chloride 0.6 gm
Potassium Chloride 0.04 gm
Calcium Chloride (dehydrate) 0.027 gm, Sodium lactate 0.312 gm

Indications

Treatment of severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
Correction of metabolic acidosis due to shock or systemic disease.
Energy support for ketosis, collapse, or debilitating infections.
Replacement of fluid lost due to diarrhea or prolonged fever.
Use as a sterile vehicle for administering compatible injectable drugs.

Mechanism of Action

INTALYTE provides critical fluids and electrolytes directly into the bloodstream, rapidly reversing dehydration and restoring plasma volume. The Dextrose component offers immediate, bioavailable energy (glucose) to the animal, crucial for supporting vital organ function during states of collapse or hypoglycemia (e.g., ketosis). Sodium Lactate acts as a buffer, metabolizing in the liver to bicarbonate, which helps correct metabolic acidosis frequently associated with severe dehydration, disease, and circulatory shock.

Benefits

Rapidly restores circulating blood volume and hydration status.
Provides immediate, vital energy to combat hypoglycemia/ketosis.
Contains balanced salts to correct major electrolyte deficiencies.
The lactate component helps quickly reverse life-threatening acidosis.
Essential supportive care during pre/post-operative recovery.
