Composition

Each ml contains:
Imidocarb Dipropionate. 120 mg (12%)
Excipients. q.s.

Indications

Treatment and prophylaxis of Babesiosis (Redwater) in susceptible animals.
Treatment of Anaplasmosis (Gall Sickness) in cattle and other livestock.
Management of Ehrlichiosis and other susceptible tick-borne hemoparasitic diseases.
Used for prevention during movement of animals to endemic areas.
Rapidly controls fever and anemia caused by blood protozoa.

Mechanism of Action

Imidocarb is a derivative that acts primarily on intraerythrocytic (within red blood cells) protozoa, specifically Babesia and Anaplasma. Its mechanism involves two main pathways: it interferes with the nucleic acid metabolism (DNA replication) of the protozoa, leading to their death. Additionally, it inhibits specific enzymes required by the parasite for survival. By rapidly eliminating the parasites multiplying within the host's red blood cells, Imidocarb stops the progression of clinical disease, clears the blood of pathogens, and controls the associated fever and anemia.

Benefits

Highly effective single-dose treatment for Babesiosis and Anaplasmosis.
Provides prophylactic protection against susceptible diseases for up to 4 weeks.
Rapidly clears parasites from the blood, reducing fever and morbidity.
Convenient large-volume parenteral formulation for broad livestock use.
Reduces economic losses associated with tick-borne diseases.
