Livestock
Oral Liquid

Composition

Liquid emulsion containing essential volatile oils and herbal extracts known for their potent anti-foaming and gas-expelling properties.
[Each 100 ml contains: Anethum sowa (Dill Oil) 5 ml, Pinus longifolia (Turpentine Oil) 4 ml, Ricinus communis (Castor Oil) 10 ml, Carminative Herbal Extracts (Anti-zymotic base) Q.S ]

Indications

Treatment and management of frothy bloat in cattle.
Relief from simple or severe tympany (ruminal distension).
To assist in the expulsion of trapped gas in the rumen.
Adjunct therapy for digestive upset causing gas accumulation.
Rapid relief from abdominal discomfort due to fermentative issues.

Mechanism of Action

BLOTARID works through a dual mechanism: anti-zymotic and carminative action. The volatile oils (Dill and Turpentine) act as powerful surfactants, reducing the surface tension of the frothy ingesta in the rumen. This causes the thousands of tiny gas bubbles trapped in the froth to collapse, converting the stable foam bloat into free gas bloat. The carminative effect then stimulates ruminal movements and eructation (belching), allowing the liberated gas to be safely expelled, providing quick and prompt relief from severe distension and discomfort.

Benefits

Ensures quick and prompt relief from bloat and distension.
The volatile oils break down stable ruminal froth.
Promotes gas expulsion through natural eructation.
Reduces the risk of respiratory and circulatory distress.
Restores normal ruminal function rapidly.
