Propylene Glycol is rapidly absorbed from the rumen and converted into Propionate in the liver. Propionate is the primary substrate used by the animal to generate glucose (gluconeogenesis), thus quickly increasing the available blood sugar. This mechanism effectively replenishes depleted energy reserves and reverses the metabolic imbalance associated with conditions like ketosis and Negative Energy Balance (NEB). The addition of Nicotinamide and Cyanocobalamin supports cellular energy transfer and optimizes overall metabolic efficiency.
