Treatment and control of maggot infestations in wounds (Myiasis).
As an antiseptic and -healing agent for surgical and traumatic wounds.
Management of infected skin lesions, abrasions, and cuts.
Used to prevent re-infestation by flies on existing wounds.
Topical treatment for certain mite and tick infestations in localized areas.
The synergistic action provides three key functions. Gamma Benzene Hexachloride acts on the nervous system of parasites (maggots, ticks, mites) by disrupting GABA-gated chloride channels, causing uncontrolled nerve discharge and paralysis. Proflavine Hemisulphate is an acridine dye that inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis in bacteria, providing a visual marker and antiseptic action. Cetrimide is a cationic surfactant that disrupts bacterial cell membranes and removes debris. The oil base assists in soothing the wound, repelling flies, and enhancing tissue repair.
Rapid maggot elimination (via Gamma Benzene Hexachloride action).
Broad-spectrum antiseptic coverage to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
Proflavine marks the wound site and promotes clean granulation.
Neem and Eucalyptus oils provide natural fly repellency and soothing properties.
Convenient aerosol format ensures hygienic, direct application without touching the wound.
Topical Spray: Shake well. Spray directly onto the affected wound area from 15-20 cm away. Apply once or twice daily until the wound is clean and healed.
Maggot Treatment
Apply sufficiently to penetrate deep into the maggot-infested area.
