AVENTIX 250: Fluralaner 250 mg

AVENTIX 1000: Fluralaner 1000 mg
AVENTIX 1400: Fluralaner1400 mg

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (caused by Ctenocephalides felis).
Treatment & control of major tick infestations (Ixodes, Rhipicephalus, Dermacentor spp.).
Management of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) as part of a treatment strategy.
Effective against parasitic mites, including Demodex, Sarcoptes, and Otodectes spp.
Provides systemic protection, killing parasites before they can lay eggs or transmit disease.

Fluralaner is a potent inhibitor of the insect nervous system. After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed into the animal's bloodstream. When fleas or ticks feed on the treated animal, they ingest the Fluralaner. The active substance acts antagonistically on ligand-gated chloride channels, specifically the GABA (?-aminobutyric acid) and glutamate receptors, leading to uncontrolled neurological activity. This causes hyperexcitation, paralysis, and rapid death of the ectoparasites.
