Indications

Treatment of major Gastrointestinal Roundworms (Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus).
Effective against Lungworms (Dictyocaulus) in cattle and sheep.
Control of common Tapeworms (Moniezia) in susceptible species.
Eradication of both larval and adult stages of sensitive nematodes.
Used for routine deworming and prophylactic control programs.

Mechanism of Action

Fenbendazole, a benzimidazole carbamate, exerts its anthelmintic effect by binding selectively to the parasite's protein, -tubulin. This binding action prevents the polymerization of -tubulin into microtubules, structures vital for the integrity and function of parasite cells. The subsequent disruption of cellular transport, nutrient uptake, and energy metabolism (glucose deprivation) leads to the irreversible degeneration of the parasite's intestinal cells, paralysis, and ultimate starvation and death of the parasite.

Benefits

Broad-spectrum efficacy against a wide range of internal parasites.
Effective against most common nematode and cestode infestations.
High safety margin allows for flexible dosing across species.
concentration enables precise, low-volume oral dosing.
Reduces environmental contamination by decreasing egg shedding.

Usage & Recommendation

Cattle & Buffalo: Fenbendazole per kg body weight.
Equivalent to 0.5 ml of FENTAS per 10 kg b.w.

Sheep & Goats: 5 mg Fenbendazole per kg body weight.
Dosage may be higher (e.g.,7.5 mg/kg B.wt ) for specific parasite control.
