Indications

Control of nuisance and biting Flies (horn flies, stable flies).
Effective treatment of infestations of Lice (sucking and biting types).
Control of susceptible Ticks species in cattle, sheep, and goats.
Used for general disinfection and residual insect control in sheds/premises.
Effective for treating animals during routine parasite control programs.

Mechanism of Action

Cypermethrin, classified as a Type II pyrethroid, functions by agonizing and modulating the voltage-sensitive sodium channels in the nerve cell membranes of arthropods. It prevents the normal inactivation of these channels, resulting in a persistent flow of sodium ions into the nerve cell. This prolonged sodium influx causes continuous, high-frequency depolarization, leading to the rapid hyperexcitation of the nervous system. The parasite experiences severe tremors, followed by paralysis (knockdown effect), and subsequent death.

Benefits

High concentration (10%) offers excellent economic dilution rates.
Broad-spectrum action provides flexible control over flies, ticks, and lice.
Rapid knockdown effect followed by sustained residual protection.
Versatile application through spray, dip, or specific pour-on protocols.
Effective for reducing stress and blood loss caused by external parasites.
