Fast-Acting Anti-Allergic Protection
Antihistamine
Livestock
Injection

Composition

Each ml contains:
Chlorpheniramine maleate. 10 mg
Excipients. q.s.

Indications

Treatment of acute allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock.
Management of pruritus (itching) and skin irritation (urticaria/hives).
Supportive therapy for laminitis to manage inflammation and vascular changes.
Used to alleviate symptoms of insect stings, snake bites, and serum sickness.
Reduces localized swelling and edema associated with inflammatory conditions.

Mechanism of Action

Chlorpheniramine Maleate is a competitive antagonist of the H1 histamine receptor. When an allergic reaction occurs, mast cells release large amounts of histamine, which binds to H1 receptors and causes symptoms like swelling, bronchoconstriction, and itching. ANISTAMIN works by binding to and blocking these peripheral H1 receptors, thereby preventing histamine from exerting its effects. This action rapidly alleviates clinical signs of allergy, such as edema, pruritus, urticaria (hives), and reduces excessive inflammation associated with histamine release.

Benefits

Rapidly counteracts the effects of excessive histamine release.
Effectively reduces swelling, itching, and tissue edema.
Crucial first-aid agent in cases of acute allergic crisis.
Improves animal comfort by managing severe pruritus.
Compatible with concurrent antibiotic or corticosteroid treatment.
