AMBIFLUSH relies on synergistic action. Tris-EDTA (pH-buffered) works as a chelating agent that disrupts the protective outer membrane ( LPS layer) of Gram-negative bacteria like Pseudomonas. This membrane disruption makes the bacteria significantly more susceptible to the potent antimicrobial action of Chlorhexidine Gluconate, which binds to the bacterial cell wall and causes cytoplasmic leakage. This combination also helps break down bacterial biofilm, clearing the ear canal for subsequent antibiotic treatment.
