Treatment of severe or complicated infections known or suspected to be resistant.
Management of refractory skin and soft tissue infections (Pyoderma, cellulitis).
Therapy for complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) and pyelonephritis.
Treatment of serious deep-seated infections, including bone or joint infections.
Empiric treatment for critical cases requiring the highest level of ?-lactam efficacy.
The primary agent, Ceftriaxone, is bactericidal. It inhibits the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis by binding to PBPs (Penicillin-Binding Proteins) on the bacterial inner membrane, causing cell wall collapse and subsequent lysis. Many Gram-negative bacteria produce ?-lactamase enzymes to inactivate Ceftriaxone. Tazobactam acts as a suicide inhibitor, irreversibly binding to and neutralizing these enzymes. This protection dramatically broadens the spectrum of Ceftriaxone, making the combination highly effective against multi-drug resistant strains.
Potent combination combats resistance better than Cefpodoxime/Clavulanate alone.
Tazobactam provides superior protection against a broader range of ?-lactamases.
High 500 mg Ceftriaxone dose is ideal for large dogs with serious systemic infection.
Effective against difficult pathogens, including certain strains of Pseudomonas.
Provides a powerful, reliable oral solution for complex, often chronic infections.
