MILPOND VITAL works primarily via competitive exclusion in the gastrointestinal tract. The high concentration of Bacillus subtilis spores colonizes the gut rapidly, forming a protective barrier and outcompeting pathogenic bacteria for adhesion sites and nutrients. B. subtilis also produces digestive enzymes (amylases, proteases) and antimicrobial peptides that inhibit the growth of harmful flora. This action stabilizes the intestinal environment, enhances nutrient breakdown, and minimizes the proliferation of disease-causing organisms, thereby reducing digestive upsets and improving FCR.
