Excipients.q.s

Indications

Treatment and control of all stages of Ticks (one-host and multi-host).
Highly effective against severe infestations of Mange Mites (Sarcoptes, Psoroptes).
Control of biting and sucking Lice infestations.
Used as a reliable component in acaricide resistance management programs.
Suitable for whole-body dip or high-volume spray applications.

Mechanism of Action

Amitraz primarily acts as an agonist at the octopamine receptors within the parasite's central nervous system. This continuous stimulation disrupts normal neurotransmission, leading to hyperexcitability, paralysis, and the inability of the parasite (such as ticks or mites) to attach or feed, resulting in detachment and death. Its unique chemical structure (formamidine) makes it effective against organophosphate-resistant strains by inhibiting monoamine oxidase (MOA) enzymes.

Benefits

Maximum concentration () offers the best dilution economy.
Potent efficacy against highly resistant ticks and mites.
Residual activity provides prolonged protection on the animal's coat.
Breaks the parasite cycle by killing larval, nymph, and adult stages.
Reduces frequency of treatment in highly endemic areas.
