Excipients.q.s

Indications

Treatment and control of all life stages of Ticks (one-host and multi-host).
Effective against Mange Mites (Sarcoptes, Psoroptes, Chorioptes) in cattle, sheep, and swine.
Control of Lice (biting and sucking) infestations.
Used for the prevention of tick-borne diseases by eliminating vectors.
Recommended for both whole-body dip and spray applications.

Mechanism of Action

Amitraz primarily acts by inhibiting monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes in the nervous system of ticks and mites. More critically, it acts as an agonist at the octopamine receptors within the parasite's central nervous system. This continuous stimulation of octopaminergic synapses results in excessive nerve activity, leading to immediate uncoordinated movement, hyperactivity, and eventually the paralysis, detachment, and death of the parasites. This mechanism is distinct from organophosphates, making it useful for resistance management.

Benefits

High efficacy against multi-drug resistant ticks and mites.
Rapid knockdown and persistent residual activity on the animal's coat.
Versatile use as a dip bath, spray, or pour-on (depending on application).
Concentrated formulation is economical and allows flexible dilution.
Breaks the life cycle by killing both adult and juvenile stages of parasites.
