Bolus

Composition

Each bolus contains:
Albendazole…………..300 mg
Excipients……………………..q.s.

Indications

Effective against major Gastro-Intestinal (G.I.) roundworms.
Controls severe infestations of lungworms (Dictyocaulus spp.).
Treats tapeworms (Moniezia spp.) in ruminants.
Targets Liver Flukes (Fasciola spp.) and their eggs.
Broad-spectrum use in cattle, buffaloes, sheep, and goats.

Mechanism of Action

Albendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic that selectively binds to parasitic -tubulin, inhibiting the microtubule polymerization process. This blocks the uptake of glucose, rapidly depletes glycogen reserves, and consequently impairs ATP production in the parasite. This metabolic collapse results in the immobilization and eventual death of the worm.

Benefits

Broad-spectrum efficacy against Nematodes, Cestodes, and Trematodes.
Single-dose bolus for practical, easy administration.
Effective against adult worms and larval stages.
Aids in maximizing nutrient absorption and growth rate.
Helps improve milk yield and overall flock/herd health.
