Oral Liquid

Composition

Each ml contains:
Albendazole. 100 mg (10%)
Excipients. q.s

Indications

Treatment and control of major Gastrointestinal (GI) Nematodes (Roundworms).
Effective against Lungworms (Dictyocaulus) in cattle and sheep.
Used for the management of Tapeworms (Cestodes) in susceptible species.
Highly effective against adult and developing stages of Liver Flukes (Fasciola).
Reduction of helminth egg shedding to minimize environmental contamination.

Mechanism of Action

Albendazole, a benzimidazole, exerts its primary action by selectively binding to -tubulin in the parasite's cells. This binding prevents the polymerization of tubulin, which is necessary for the formation of parasitic microtubules. The resulting disruption disables essential cellular functions, particularly glucose uptake and energy metabolism. The parasite becomes starved and paralyzed, leading to its inability to survive or reproduce. This process ensures the parasite's eventual expulsion from the host's system.

Benefits

High concentration (10%) requires a smaller drench volume per dose.
Broad-spectrum efficacy covering roundworms, lungworms, and flukes.
Effective ovicidal action helps clean up pastures and reduce re-infection.
Cost-effective high-strength formula for treating large animals/herds.
Simple oral liquid formulation allows for quick and accurate administration.
